A Quiet Place on the Rapidan River

A field of mine from high school, who enjoys canoeing down the river, cleaned a landing area on his property, and made a trail up the river bank to the pasture field above. Midway up the trail the added a bench for sitting. Coming to the river, as the sun peaked through the trees, I sat on the benched observing a very large bush with white blossoms. I sat for a long time admiring the beauty of the bush with its reflection of beams of light penetrating the canopy nearing sunset, and the meditative solitude of the river.
