There is something about the changing light in August that reminds me that the summer is coming to an end. The angle of the light is different. The hues in the trees become slightly warmer. The grasses and bushes have already reached their seasonal goals and all things green become pale and are on the decline. My goal in this painting was an attempt to capture this effect.
